Leticia T. Vidales, MA, LMFT specializes in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Ventura, Ca. With 30 years of combined therapy and counseling experience, she currently serves as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.
She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion, understanding, intuition and insight, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Leticia completed her clinical training in a wide array of settings including adult outpatient, juvenile mental health court, children and family services, employment and substance abuse programs and schools. In her current role as a licensed mental health professional, Leticia works with adults while utilizing scientific based approaches consistent with each of their needs. She received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society at the University of California Santa Barbara. Additionally , she is bilingual (English/Spanish) and a former Peace Corps Volunteer, an experience which further accentuates her commitment to providing comprehensive and culturally competent services.
Within a variety of contexts, Leticia has helped and treated many individuals and families facing some of the most challenging problems and issues clinically. Through these experiences, she found that human suffering transcends boundaries and that all of us at one time or another experience difficulties such as uncertainty, frustrations, and loss. She is committed to helping each individual explore and resolve not only the pain and setbacks in their life, but also learn to recognize their own inner strengths and resources as a way to move forward and reach full potential.
